Tap at the brewpub, NYC. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, tan cream head. Lots of toasty chocolate and caramel in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasty caramel and mild milk chocolate. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Toasty malt finish with more caramel, fine dirt and light cocoa. Not a ton of depth, but it’s very pleasant. Nice one.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 8/10/12
Aroma: The nose is roasty malts, with some toffee, nuts, and a little caramel
Appearance: It pours a clear light brown color with an orange hue, minimal head and lace
Flavor: Much as the nose previewed, this one has a sweet and roasty taste
Palate: It has a smooth and clean feel, a soft carbonation, a medium body, and a lasting duration
Overall Impression: I felt that this one was a nice example of the nutty and roasty type of brown ale. I enjoyed drinking it, and I thought it felt well-made. Another good one from 508.

Tap at the brewery. Pours dark amber with thin head. Tastes super malty, lots of nuttiness, toffee, and earth. A full flavored brown slightly sweet.
