Mohawk Respirator Doublebock. A traditional German Bockbier. Made with Munich, Pilsener, Caramunich and Chocolate malt and Hallertau hops. Brewed with a traditional triple decoction mash schedule, it is intensely malty without being cloyingly sweet. Designed to take your breath away!

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a longlasting white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty dark fruit bitter caramel finish.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2012) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit and hints of red berries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of red berries, dried fruit, apricots, caramel and a gentle, spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Doesn’t take my breath away, but it’s well made and nice.

Bottled at SBWF. Hazy amber, coarse head. Sweet and caramelly with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Butter and caramel. Mildly warming finish with low bitterness. OK, but lacks depth.

Bottled@SBWF2012. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mild alcohol, some sweet malts as well as some toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar with also some slight chocolate and mild alcoholic sweetness.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Clear amber with a small head. Malt, dark bread, hay, toffee and some light toasted malt and chocolate. Sweet with a smooth mouth feel. Descent.

Bottle, 33 cl, at Rotary Pub, Göteborg, on March 30, 2012Clear copper color, big lasting off-white head. sweet, alcohol, some ash scent. Sweet, fruity, alcohol taste. Almond paste, sweet aftertaste, some bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.I’d like it more malty and sweet.
