Made with the finest English malts and hops. Maris Otter and crystal malts give this rich mahogany ale mouth watering caramel maltiness. The English Challenger and Kent Goldings hops impart herbal flavors and aromas that finish gloriously smooth and mellow.

Copper nose, with a little honey. Clear copper, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Less metallic on the palate, dark honey and dried leaves are detected. A tad fizzy, especially for the style.

32oz growler I picked up from Lost Rhino when they did their Apocalypse Ale tap takeover. Pours a hazy, light brown with some thin, white head. Nose is malty, some orange peel, some diacetyl, cracker. Flavor is the same, a little boozy actually, lemon rind, pear, malt. Wet finish. A touch messy.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours amber with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart malts and earth. The taste is toasted malts, caramel and bitter hops. Medium bodied, too hop forward.
