Served in plastic cup at Hovet. Norrlands guld is a decent standard lager. The bitterness has some of the acid you get when you have a tea bag in for too long, which probably is how they hop it.

(Canned) Golden yellow colour with brief, frothy, white head. Malty, bready nose with sweetish notes of tropical fruit and slightly sourish malt hints. Malty, bready taste with hints of honey, grain and grassy hops in the finish. Distinct malt sweetness with a puff of alcohol (which feels quite right). Medium body, moderate bitterness, a tad too sweet. A solid, but boring export lager.

Small white head quickly disappears completely. Yellow body. Sweetish grainy aroma with notes of straw and apple. Sweetish straw, malts, and apple taste with grassy, oily notes. Same aftertaste. Neither bad nor good. (0.33l bottle from hotel minibar, Göteborg.)
