Notes from 11/13. Pressing backspace just when you're about to finish up your review really ticks me off... Bottle from letspourdotcom. Maybe a month in the fridge. Poured into a fluted tulip thingie. Stiff peaks & a slightly hazed pale golden body. Lots of activity underneath. Peppery, doughy, flowery/soapy bittersweet scent, turning a bit sharp. Tastes of biscuit, bittergreens, & flour/pancake mix. Ugly, unrelenting Asprin bitterness from middle on end. Some weird residual peanut flavor that is more obvious when it's really cold. Very strange. Big, heavy-handed carbonation. Mellow alcohol. Foamy. Dry. That peanut flavor really threw me for a loop. Wouldn't of been a pretty score anyway though.

Big, fluffy, long lasting head with lots of lace..Traditional pungent aroma. Sadly flavor’s a bit too sweet.

Bottle shared by a friend, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy hrad. Aroma of spicy yeast, bit minerally, flowery hops, bit white pepper. Slight sweet and spicy in taste, quite dry, minerally again. Quite high carbonation. Nice beer.

On tap at Uptown. Pours a cloudy orange gold color with a medium white head. A big malty peppery nose. Lemons, robust fruity hops, big dominant sweet yeasty Belgian malt base. Bananas and pepper. Very nice.

Pours gold into a snifter. Bright white head crackles and recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet caramel aromas. Sweet and dry with caramel and bread upfront turning to heather and grass before the lasting bitter earth finish.

Bottle - Sweet and very fruity with some grass notes. Clear gold with a frothy white head. Sweet, stone fruit, light pepper notes and a small amount of bitterness in the finish to balance the sweetness. Very nice.
