On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a cloudy brown with a frothy off white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hops and maple syrup. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop and citrus with light bitter finish. Easy to drink a good amber from Stone.

Draught at Moeder Lambic, Fontainas
Hazy dark amber color, with big creamy head. Very nice malt and hop aroma, toffee, toasty hop resins, biscuits; later, light feety yeast. The body is weak and the mouthfeel dry, with a very nice flavor of toffee, cookies and roasted nuts. The final is bitter and long, with some hop resins; possibly the bitterness is just too high. At this low ABV, pleasant.

Bottle @ The Rover. Pours hazy reddish brown with a big frothy goldenish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with pine, orange zest, bread, lemon zest, grass, caramel, wood (cedar), resin and hints of vanilla toffee. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, wood, moist soil, resin, orange peal, grass, bread, grapefruit juice and hints of overripe lemons. Mouthfeel is round, watery, tiny oily bitter and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with pine, resinous wood, caramel, orange zest, bread and lemon zest. Nice, light and balanced. A pleasant surprise.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best by 7/9/2012. Pours lightly hazy reddish copper color with a nice 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice rings spotty lacing cling to the glass as you drink. Aromas of caramel, orange zest, grapefruit, mango, floral, pine, herbal, pineapple, and toast. Pretty nice and well balanced aromas; but a bit muted. Taste of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, caramel, pine, herbal, floral, and toast. Light bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pine, herbal, caramel, and toast on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of hop flavors with caramel malt sweetness; almost perfect contrast. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is not really noticed at all, as expected for 4.4%. Overall this is a very nice amber ale! Very flavorful and balanced; and extremely easy drinking of course. If I am looking for a nice session beer I would not pass this up.

Bottle. Superb amber ale! How this beer manages to be big bodied, ridiculously hoppy and yet well balanced with it’s 4,4ABV is just a mystery... but it does! Lots of apricots and roasted caramel kind of notes.

A dark copperbrown beer with a medium, but lasting, blond head. Aroma is caramelly malty, fruits, and even some tropical fruits, papaiyas, citrusfruity hoppyness, also pine; tastefull and succesfull aroma. Taste is slightly caramelly, strong hoppyness, dry, some wood, pine needles, even some resin in the end. Balanced taste. Medium- bodied, nice to drink. Balanced and aromatic with stong hoppyness. I had a high expectations for this beer and Levitation Ale fullfilled them.

Bottled:
The color is clear amber. Head looks ok. It smells good of hops, pine, resin and tropical fruits. Feels a little watery in the mouth, but it tastes good of hops and freshly cut wood. Long bitterness. An easy drinking and enjoyable beer.

Clear amber to copper red beer, small light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, touch of smoke (?), bubble gum, sugar and candy. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: lots of citrus, some sweet malts, caramel, quite some spices, bit of mocha, some smoke again (?). Aftertaste: citrus, grassy hops, bit of mocha of coffee, little fruity. Finally a not massively overhopped Stone brew.

Bottle shared at The Rover, Goteberg. Cloudy brown pour with an off white head. Hoppy aroma with a little soap. Grassy hop flavour with citrus and light fruits. Medium carbonation.

From someone else six-pack: Pours an amber color with a very nice beige head. Aroma is piny hops for the most part, along with some metallic aspect. Taste is bitter with a mellow finish. Taste is fine, albeit not too interesting. I’m gonna chug the whole six-pack for that is what it is good for.
