We're best known for brewing aggressive, big-character beers, but we love a great sessionable ale as much as anyone. Most beers at the less-weighty end of the spectrum lack flavor and depth as much as they lack high ABVs, but not Stone Levitation Ale! This deep amber brew has a rich maltiness, big hoppy character, citrus overtones, and an impressively modest alcohol content for a beer with so much flavor packed into it.

12oz bottle shared with Khan poured into a shaker. Pours a dark ruby with about a finger of white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel and grapefruit. Taste is about the same. Medium bodied with a thick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I would love to get a bomber for myself.

Bottle. Chestnut with a small beige head, and heavy scummy looking sediment suspended throughout. Grapefruit hops and light caramel malt aroma. Roasty caramel malt and pine / grapefruit peel hops flavor. This would have been more enjoyable had it not been so ugly.

355ml bottle @Maltainen Riekko 5.1.2011. Poured dark amber with a thin white head, some lacing. Hoppy citrusy and piney aroma. Flavor is similar, pine, citrus and great bitterness. Very thin body, but overall an enjoyable brew.

Draught @ Moeder Lambic during the Stone vs Moeder Lambic event. Light brown colour with a beige head. Smells very strong citrus hoppy and a bit grassy. Tastes hoppy, bitter, fruity and very fresh. Carbo is pretty nice and it has a long, bitter aftertaste.
