Bottle at Blipp’s surprise tasting. Pours copper amber with white head. Nose and taste of light caramel malt, old citrus and grapefruit rind, light pine and resin. Touch sticky. Lighter medium body.

12 oz. bottle, $1.50 loose at HyVee, Carroll, IA. Slight gusher when twisting the cap. Pours amber to brown. Hazy with visible particles from bottom sediment. Big IPA head. Smell shows some American hops, but not very big, just more of a generic bitterness. Taste has much more promise. Sharp bitterness dominates over some pine. Tastes like a dry hop, though the description doesn’t suggest that. Deeper roast malts, some caramel even, and a rich texture with some alcohol warmth. Much more substantial than their Wheat.
