Medium brown, sorta sludgey looking. Boozy, some nutty notes. Mostly a mess, some chocolate but it is a bunch of random stuff going on that never really comes together.

16 oz. can from Beerhead, packaged 1/24/22. Frothey little bastard. Not quite a gusher, but the foam kept rising, making me slurp it up. Settles to a thick but sudsy tan head over a deep brown-black body. Nose suggests some oak, though this is not a barrel-aged version. Some sweet candy and cherry, too. Very roasty malt taste, but not burned. A bit of coffee, too. Maybe there are big hops here, too, but they just add to the roastiness. A big beer and a big like.

Draught @ Replay, Lakewood NJ which has closed down since. Dark brown with faint copper headlights, small foamy tan head, rich coffee aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter mocha taste, smooth body, long finish. Quite smooth and easy to drink.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent charred malt with some bakers chocolate. Flavor is a surprisingly creamy mouthfeel with some roasted malt and chocolate notes. I thought this was going to be all dry and bitter but it turned out this was way more smooth and a bit sweet with a decent pop of bitterness. Pretty good stuff.
