Poured from can dated 11/21/17 deep copper with a nice white head. Aromas of dank caramel resinous pine and floral notes. Taste is very sweet which is all too common with imperial ipas. Notes of mild citrus pith caramel and a lingering pine finish.

22 oz. bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park location. Mostly clear copper color with lasting head. Aroma is sweet bready malts, mild tones of grapefruit, and sugar coated mangos.

Perhaps this brew sat a bit, tastes like a slightly sweeter “Ravaged By Vikings” which I sampled just 48 hours ago. Big sweet malt and grain body with a very faint notes of floral and pine hops in the finish. Again a presence of sugar coated dried oranges and mangos. The balance is more sweetness as opposed to hop flavor. Alcohol notes are covered by the sweetness becoming dry in the mouthfeel. Good but I like a larger hop punch in my DIPA’s.

Pours a deep reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Kind of orange citrus / juicy, spicy, bready nose. Somewhat bitter flavor. Chewy and bready. Tangerine. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Ok.
