Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very dark brown. Aroma of dark malt and dark fruit. Med + body. Flavor is dark treacle, dark fruit, and possibly some bitter hop. Not to mention chocolate coming into the finish. It’s good ale, and more complicated than my descriptive skills can handle.

Definitely a lot of oatmeal aroma in this which I don’t always sense in oatmeal stout. Breakfast aroma of coffee poured into oats without cream. Pours dark brown with bubbly initial head and not much lacing. Some roast with light bitter finish. Some chocolate as well. Tap at Churchkey.

330ml bottle shared with jeevan (memory banks rate). Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate, almost tar. Kinda get the oats, but I was consciously looking for them. Taste is rich, bitter, bit boozy. Nice.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is very metallic, with dry oats and unsweetened cocoa. Flavour is bold and robust, bringing out oats, cocoa, and light roasted malt. Very full-bodied and well-balanced - much more elegant on the palate than the nose. Very good stuff
