Bomber bottle, waxed, poured. Such a foaming gusher here, and it is unfortunate to say that it tried it’s best to take away from what I noticed to be a very compelling flavor profile. Fizzy foam spill over upon opening, and the foam would last all night if we left it. Somebody poured a bottle of soap in the water fountain again. Cola pour, slightly metallic, rich milk chocolate aroma with a hint of mixed berry. An adequate amount of red raspberry sweetness to compliment the roasted malt bill. A well balanced flavor throughout, and lingering berry reminder. This beer could be great, with a minor tweak here and there. Unfortunately, it’s the science part holding it back. Still a good beer, and really hope they redo this idea in the future. Nice.

Tap @ CF Barrelhouse. Pours a deep brown color, topped with a thin beige head. Nose is mild... Roast, coco, and faint raspberries. More ’umph’ in the taste and more emphasis on chocolate covered raspberries. Really a nice surprise, but I realized the base beer is Augustus and that’s been my favorite CF brew so far. I’d certainly drink this again.

Bottle thanks to Prufrockstar. Pours very dark brown/black with tan head. Nose and taste of raspberry, dark chocolate, roast chocolate, roast coffee and earth. Medium body. Great balance with the chocolate upfront developing into a raspberry cordial finish.

Bottle Dark brown and a thin fleeting head. Warm malty arom of dark chocolate malts and cherries. Nice cherry flavor late, but not sour. Cherry cordial, dare I say? Not bad.

Dark and smoky, roast grains with a sweet aroma of berries. Hard to discern if it’s real juice or concentrate. Berries dominate the aroma, but taste has nice blend of the dark grains and fruit. Finish concentrates on the smoky malt. For a fruit beer, this is not light. Different.

Bottle thanks to Toby! Pours a deep dark brown color with a medium beige head. A nice nose of cocoa, berries and chocolate cake. The flavor is pretty much a porter base with raspberries, very natural flavors, big chocolate some coffee. Good.
