Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear, dark brown with a tan cream head. Rich and bready, with dark sugars, meaty fruits, candi sugar. Full bodied with fine carbonation and massaging texture. Lightly warming on the finish, with more dark sugars, hearty bread, ripe dark fruits. Nicely rounded. Tasty.

Sample at the Funkatorium. Dark mahogany color with a medium light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, caramel and dark fruit. Full-bodied with a slightly medicinal dark fruit character and notes of earthy yeast and caramel malt. The finish is sweet with a malt and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.
