Sample from batch #219-220 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Deep dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of cloves, malt and grain. Medium to full body with flavors of sweet spices, yams and malt. The finish is sweet with a spice and grainy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with a thin ring of khaki head. Aroma of chocolate, brown sugar and loads of baking spices. Taste is mostly baking spices with dark chocolate and something a little sweet. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation. And a super long finish. Overall, awesome. Another pipeworks winner.

Bottle - Chocolate, roasted malts, clove and other spices. Jet black with a thin brown head. Sweet molasses, clove and cinnamon. A bit too spicy and unbalanced.
