Pours mahogany into a tulip. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to coat surface. Sweet caramel, roasted nuts and bread aromas. Sharp and thin with hot caramel and chocolate upfront turning to dusty roasted nuts and earth in the dry lasting finish.

A dark opper amber saison with a thin off white head. In aroma, a lighly peaty fruity malt with light off notes. In mouth, a nice smooth peaty malt with light Brett, a bit herbal, nice. On tap at Somerville Summerfest, July 14, 2012.
