Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy copper with small off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is caramel, dark fruit, bready malt. Medium body, fig, caramel, plum, toasted malt, boozy finish, good.

750ml bottle, big thanks to gregwilsonstl!!, pours with a clear copper body that supports a nice tan head. The aroma offers up a medley of pine hops, floral hops, citrus hops and then a toffee note. The taste delivers bitter pine hops, a dash of citrus grapefruit, floral flowery notes and then thin sweet malts and a hint of toffee. Pretty cool bitter hop forward brew.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle dated 09/2015. Aroma is rather hop forward with a strong grapefruit and pine resin character. Some other citrus and tropical fruit notes. Moderately strong caramel notes with some lighter toffee and burnt sugar. Some woodsy hop notes as the beer warms. Pours a slightly hazy, auburn color with copper and brown hues and a large, thick, tan head that exhibits really nice retention. Moderately high lacing and medium length legs. Flavor has a moderately strong sweetness with a moderately strong bitterness to balance it out. Lots of caramel with some lighter toffee and burnt sugar notes. Some light toasted bread and cracker character. Medium light alcohol spice. Moderate hop notes with grapefruit, pine resin and woodsy notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent American barleywine. Lots of hop character, though an older style hop character. Decent malt profile with layers to of caramel complexity. Good bitterness to balance out the sweet malt notes.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a very small white head. Aroma is hoppy resin and sweet malts. Flavor is a pine resin with thick sweet syrupy malts. Its not real heavy but definitely a thick mouth feel. Finish has leaves a nice hop coating the tongue. This was a decent beer more of a thick IIPA than a barley wine. Plenty hoppy and sweet.
