We hit this full bodied IPA with “nookie” four times during the brewing process to give this ale its trademark Chinook hop character.
We then “dry nookied” this flavorful ale to further enhance its grapefruit and pine aroma.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to becher glass.
Appearance: dark orange to copper color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: grapefruity and piney hoppy tones, caramel/toffee malts underneath
Flavor: blends all the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet blend, finishes with a dry piney vibe
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, some hop abrasion to the tongue yet a subtle smoothness is there as well
Overall: pretty good AIPA I could come back to.

The Butcher and the Rye, tap: pours clear amber with a white head. Atoma is pine, light citrus and heavy malt. Taste is relatively bitter. Kind of malty. Not a bad IPA bit most definitely old school.

On tap at Industry. Pours a hazy copper with small off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine, dank, resin. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, lingering bitter finish, good.

355ml bottle [Thanx again to David for the generous Penn-import!]. Milky amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Intense, room-filling, piney hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit and orange, caramel malty background, strawberry overtones. Taste is crisp bitter hoppy, dry, piney, minimally sweet, caramel malty background, increasing hop bitterness, almost completely disguised fruitiness. Classy IPA with bitterness at the upper limit.
