We have brewed on this beer in a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop a of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Pours completely opaque black with a small and creamy off-white head. Aroma of burned malt and rum. Quite full-bodied with burned, ashy malt and a lightly whiff of rum. Dry and burned finish. Sweet but nice. The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. 310808

Bottled@EBF2008. Black opaque colour, small head. Aroma is smoke, roasted malts, caramel, alcohol and some mild wooden and earthy tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some caramel as well as mild alcohol, chocolate and coffee. A pleasant and nicely balanced stout.

Bottle EBF08. Good sweet roasted aroma. Good sweet aroma, malty and well balanced. Very dark brown colour. Almost no head. Good vinous flavour, sweet and nice. Rounded flavour.

Bottle at EBF. Pours pitch black with a creamy lasting head & lacings. Nose is very roasted - coffee. Mega smooth & soft palate. Burnt ashy notes. Well balanced. A bit warm & vinous. Some vague Rum & vanilla notes. Good!

Bottled at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Black as night, no head. Aroma of rum and tar. Coffee in syrup with a bit of caramel. Medium-full bodied with rounded moutfheel. Not really homogenous, it feels like it’s blown up and the chcolate and tar is separated by a rift of soda.

bottle, shared on the train home from EBF2008 with guy i bumped into. nice aroma, not much fruit which is a positive, mixed stout aromas, black with brown head, unbalanced charccoal, roasted stuff. alc. honey, palate somewhat weird.

During 2010 Porterveckan.This keg has been stored a year or two, and it shows, for the better.Almost black color, some brown as well. Dark brown head. Acidic, sweet, roasted scent. Sweet, fruity, coffee, chocolate taste. Salty and coffee aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness.I like it better now than when it was fresh.7/4/8/4/16=3.9

Black with large light brown head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, rum, coffee and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, coffee and rum notes. Ends sweet with warming alcohol. Hiding the alcohol well.

Dark brown colour with large brige head.Aroma is rosted malt,strong coffee,rum and raisin.Feels very vinous with strong alc.And nice warming finish.
