Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is hazy light orange with light sparkle, 1.5-finger width foamy white head with good retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruits, citrus and grapefruit with malty base evident for balance. Taste is tropical fruit, earth, cracker malts and lightly woody. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, lively carbonation and mix of bitter and sweet malt finish. Overall, nice strong flavors and balance (despite their intentions!) with some complexity.

Pours a slightly hazy amber from a bottle, thick white head with lots of lacing. Aroma of pine, lemon, but not pine-sol-y. Flavor similar, with some nice sweet caramel malt backbone lingering in the background. Not terribly boozy, current batch is only 7.0% according to the bottle, not the 7.7% listed. Good beer though.

12 oz bottle with a bottle date of Dec 2014. Purchased in a four pack. Hazy orange color with some lasting head in the snifter. Aroma is sweet malt with a lasting pine needles and light floral hops.
I was surprised how well this held up. Nice balance of grain and malt backing with the pine and floral hops giving a substantial lasting bitterness after the sip. Massive notes of pine with some citrus rind as it warms up. Very drying texture across the tongue. Make sure this is only slightly chilled, flavor comes alive as it warms. Quite good actually.

Bottle shared with Jcwattsrugger. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose/taste of dank orange peel, caramel malt, grapefruit and resin. Medium body. Initially, had a harsh barley after taste. However, after letting it breathe for about 15-20 minutes, that disappeared and this was a solid IIPA. My initial rating was a 3.2 before letting it breathe.

Bottle at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Clear pale golden, whin off white head which clears to the edge and leaves a thin film. Nose is grain, hops, pale malt, citrus, light caramel. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, hops, light pine bite. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, light bitter notes in the finish. Ok drinkable stuff, but not really a DIPA in my book!

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a nice sized fluffy white head with moderate retention and lace. Smells of hops and caramel, no shit huh! citrus, pine, resin, bread and caramel are all represented in the nose. The flavor has a malty start with lots of bread and caramel with a hint of anise. The hops are definitely present and provide a smooth bitterness and nice hop flavor. Citrusy grapefruit provide most of the flavor with a nice resin batting cleanup. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. I’d never heard of this brewery before I spotted it in a store far from home. I’m glad I took a chance at this one, its a really nice old school feeling IPA.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. White head with medium retention leaves scant lacing. Sweet caramel and sourdough aromas. Thin with dark caramel and toast upfront turning to bitter resin in the lasting finish.
