Sampled at the brewpub pours a murky amber with some ringing eggshell head. Uh oh, some diacetyl on the nose, apple, caramel, mild butter, some hints of pepper. Flavor is also messy, caramel, breadcrust, carrot, butter, cardboard, pepper. Messy finish.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a medium orange-amber color with a large creamy beige head that lingered and produced some lacing. The aroma was vaguely fruity and bitter with notes of cardboard and faint caramel. The flavor was bitter, tangy and a bit buttery with faint fruit and nut and a salty presence. The finish was medium length dry malts and popcorn. Medium body. Disappointing.

Sample at the brew pub: Pours a deep and clear amber color with a minimal off-white head and very little lacing. Light malt aroma with touches of hops. Medium body with an overall bitter character, along with hints of roasted malt. The finish is midly bitter with a rather flavorless aftertaste of hops. Barely average overall.

Tun Tavern Irish Red-on tap-pours an amber color. Taste is creamy, malty and a hint of chocolate. Nice taste.
