The concept was to create a juicy tropical beer. A brew you can sit on and drink all day, rammed with juicy malts and huge tropical aromas of mango and grapefruit. Massive additions of whole leaf American hops are added in ever increasing numbers at the end of the boil giving huge hop flavour. The beer is then dry hopped for days, driving the punchy aromas so you can smell it from miles away!

Pours hazy amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with estery notes and touches of malt and fruit. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of fruit and citrus and touches of malt and yeast. Bitter and grassy aftertaste with estery touches. Well-balanced and easy to drink. A nice one, if a little watery.

330 ml can. Unclear golden, big foamy head. Tangerine, pineapple, mango, some elderflower, lemon. Hoppy zesty bitterness, fruity sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry hoppy bitter finish. Nice fruity Pale Ale, but lacks in body.

Can consumed in 23 days from packaging. Pale cloudy orange with excellent retention and lacing; very promising. Aroma of tropical fruit and spice. Taste of mango, zesty orange peel, grapefruit and spice. Bitter finish which combines with the zesty citrus notes. Moderate body and lovely soft carbonation. Wonderful and fresh. Sorry craft hardcore types, Heineken may own a stake in the brewer now and it may well have tasted even better in 1910 (give or take a few years) but this is a great beer I have just consumed and so have given it a high rating. Wish I had 10 more in the fridge!
