Bottle. Black pour, small white head. Aroma of roasted malt and sweet fruit. Taste is quite sweet, with café latte, cacao and some raisin. More like a belgian sweet stout. Short finish, bit thin. Decent beer.

Bottled (from Biernavigatie). More or less black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is nutty, roasted, mild metallic notes as well as some toasted and ashy notes. Flavour is nutty, roasted malts, ashy, some very dark roasted coffee as well as mild yeastiness. Mild raisins as well. Long coffeeish roasted aftertaste.

300ml bottle. Hazy, dark brown colour with late awakening, average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, decently lacing, beige to tan head. Minimally fruity, dark malty aroma of low intensity has hints of plum and cocoa, massive alcohol in the air. Taste is minimally fruity dark malty, minimally yeasty, a touch of cocoa, plum, a dry touch dark berries’ parings. There’s just a breeze of this promised Barley Wine - Belgian Dark - Stout - mixture; remains somehow inhibited, barred, encapsulated - inactivated potential, subsurface power.
