Sehr dunkelbraunes fast schwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Schokolade, fruchtig. Geschmack schokoladig, fruchtig, Karamell, süß.

33Cl bottle at home, black beer with a light brown head, aroma is malts, coffee. taste is malts, dark chocolate, light bitter. Nice beer !

Bottle from Berts Bierhuis @ HT. Black colour, thin tan head. Nose is light roasted malts, coffee, not much going on. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee, liquorice, lots of roastiness, fairly bitter. Finish is roasty and slightly bitter.

Bottled, BB Nov 14, large sample. Dark brown color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, hint of raisin, burned caramel, hint of coffee, some dark chocolate, slight spicy yeast. Bit bitter mostly from malts, bit sweet. Slight watery finish with a spicy peppery bite. Nothing spectacular.

On tap at Arendsnest. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of candy, molasses, roasted malts, liquorice, hint of coffee and cocoa. Flavour is thin, some chocolate, liquorice, candy, light buttery, hint of roast. Light-bodied. Weak stout with a corny name imho.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is yeast malt and a little caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery fruity hop caramel palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at The Last Tasting Before Christmas. Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dirty dish water, malt, caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Schenkt als zwart nagenoeg kraagloos Aroma: mout ( caramout, chocolademout en gebrande mouten), koffie Smaken: matig zoet, matig bitter, sterk, goed moutig, echter wel binnen de veilige marges, koffie, laurier en wat chocolade Medium body, olie achtige textuur, laag co2 Al met al een redelijke veilige en over het algemeen een gangbare stout; géén overdreven smaken., ze zijn allemaal goed op elkaar afgestemd. Lijkt mij idd prima met een goede maaltijd te combineren, maar hell dat zijn 1000'den andere bieren ook.
