Grandis is our blended old ale.It is blended from various ales matured in oak barrels from several months to three years. This blend has a touch of acidity and is very port like with a hint of fine balsamic. Blended 08/08/2014.

Bottle, 2014 vintage from Reynolds314. Pours opaque mahogany, very small tan head, bubbly and quick to dissipate with a bit of lacing. Aroma is acetic, roasty, coffee grounds. Flavor is ver tart, roasty, acetic, coffee, cocoa, vinegar, mineral water. Medium body

Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is figs, dark fruit, booze, vinegar. Thin mouth, light tartness, leather, vinegar, dates, light booze, very good.

Bottle - Sweet, barrel notes and soured malts. Dirty brown. Woody sour, cherry like notes and soured malts. Sweet, sour and a bit of balsamic.

Bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out wood, balsamic vinegar, and roast. Flavour brings out lots of balsamic vinegar, wood, leather and tart vinous notes. Strange combination of flavours but it works pretty well. Enjoyable.

Nice looking 750ml bottle pours out a muddy brown with no head. Nose is roast malts lots of tart some balsamic vinegar and a bit of a nose burn. Taste is more of the roast sour tart lots of pucker rich balsamic.
