Big, bold, hoppy & gold... Built sturdy enough to withstand the Apocalypse, but delicate enough to sip and enjoy all night.

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Slightly hazy, golden colour with a small, white head. Fruity aroma with spices, grass, banana, citrus fruits and yests - dough. Taste is lightly sweet. Full body with a pleasent carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with spicy and yeasty notes. Nice American-Belgian fusion.

Bottled. gold colored. Lots of alcohol in the flavor and aroma. Thin palate, some flavor of raw meat, pepper, and light spices. there are some hops here. Very dry, it reminds me of dry tripel.

Trippel or belgie strong? Big clumpy lighter hefe looking pour from this bottle dated one year ago. Somewhat metal tart smell. Hey, pretty good cutting co2! Sizzle is much more pleasant than expected. Yes, covers the alky effect quite well but after it settles in your mouth a little alkyβs quite apparent. It os fairly well done for a domestic wannah be. Seems that tart thing is hiding in the background wanting to stick its head out. Slight medicinal belgy ale finish. Yes, almost could pass as a trippel. Wew. Yes, difficult at times but that almost tart yeast thing makes interesting thru-out. OK, not one of the worst 9% beers Iβve tasted.

Bottle. Harrogate Fine Wines. Hazy gold. Foamy, lasting, white head. Very toasty. Fresh pineapple. Yeast. Some sweet, ice cream thing going on. At the back of that, there are creamy, toffee malts. Some banana esters. Taste is light, yeasty dry, and light bitter. Soft, unctuous palate. Carbonation is soft, and full. Finish errs on the fruity sweet, with a light dry close. Very drinkable. Comes across nowhere near 9%.

0.355l bottle. This one pours a cloudy yellow golden looking body with a nice big lasting white top that's leaving some lacings. Smells quite nice. Sweet wheat like with a fresh citrus kick combined with sweetness from honey and some tartness from orange peel and green apples. Nice. It tastes like a well brewed generic Belgian strong one. Belgian yeast, a sharp alcohol sting without burning in any way. Mild honey and wheat sweetness but also a orange-like flavor here. It's actually quite delicate and delicious this. Lingering sweet wheat-like aftertaste on this. Enjoyable. 08.06.2014
