Bottle. Color: Almost black, dense and long lasting very light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, liquorice, dark red fruit. Taste: Dark roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, coffee, dried dark red fruit, blackcurrant, fruit cake. Over medium sweet, moderate bitter, slightly sour. Slightly boozy. Bit sirupy, oily, creamy and sticky mouthfeel. Over medium to full body, soft carbonation. Typical English. Rich and heavy as Christmas Pudding, a very nice Old Ale.

Bottle at home from the brewery. An almost black pour with a remarkable head that lasted and lasted. The aroma was all malt with a wonderful level of bitterness that left a smile on my face. It was perhaps not the best beer for such a stupidly hot day, particularly as it was the big 660ml bottle, but these things happen and it was next in line. However, I had chilled it to within an inch of its life and it really, and quite surprisingly worked. All that bitterness was thirst quenching, but it was rich. In fact I would class this as in imperial stout/porter, but what do I know. I had to sip it over quite a while as the wife was out and the kids kept getting out of bed and coming down to complain. The beer got me through the pain.

Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Extremely dark with a creamy off-white head. It's strength is evident with mild roasted malts, but with a richness. It's much lighter tasting than expected.

Almost black with a creamy head. Aroma and flavour are nutty and dry with some dried fruits in the background.

On tap at Zagreb Craft Beer Week. Pours black with medium creamy beige head. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, some fruit notes, smooth. Bitter finish. Medium bodied.

On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Rather black coloured, medium sized beige head, whiff of alcohol in the nose. Toasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dried fruits and alcohol with touch of berries. Some chocolate and alcohol in rather dry finish. Nice one.

On tap at Craft Room. Pitch black body, scant head. Complex malty aroma, plum, caramel, even cooked apple, light chocolate, very light alcohol and some liiight fruity tartness. Very much complex, very much pleasant. Soft, sweetish festival of dark malty in the taste, plum, anise, apple, quite light for the ABV, quite drinkable for the ABV, going into a genuinely lovely milk chocolate note heading into the finish. Very, very light alcohol. Quite dry in the aftertaste. Wow, this is indeed a fantastic beer, the best Moor I've tried so far and worthy of the hype by all means!

Very balanced between sweetness & roastiness;licore,coffee,red fruity esters/candy like,touch of spices and herbs at the end.No alc at all.
