Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark red with a medium head. Aroma of citrus, toffee, malt and some "soap". The taste was on the sweet side with fruit, citrus, toffee and some soap. The finish was rather bitter. A good one.

Bottle. Almost clear deep red/copper liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, caramel, toffee, biscuit, tangerine and some bread. Very nice stuff. Taste is a tad bit sweet and medium bitter with a caramelly, toffeish maltbase and hoppy notes of citrus, pine and spruce. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nicely balanced with a good hop kick. Not exactly Christmasy except the sprucy hops though.

Fra flaske på Cardinals juleøltreff nov-12: Nam, dette er bare så bra! Nydelig og tydelig aroma. Herlig, fyldig og sammensatt smak med karamellsødme, sjokolade, kaffe, you name it. Fint karbonert, lang ettersmak og de 8,5% varmer i magen. Et stjerneøl.

Bottle. Unclear red/brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, spices, caramel, little toffee and a little citrus. Flavour is malt, hops, fruit, caramel, medium sweet, spices, little toffee, citrus, little pine and medium bitter.

Bottle from Perry’s Liquor. It pours hazy red-amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is fresh pine, caramel, toffee, spice, coconut and some citrus fruit. The taste is pine, resin, leather, earth, spice, red fruit and coffee, with a long warming-dry finish. Medium-full body, low-medium carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Nice.

Bottle at Camp Beer IX. Pours a cloudy copper with paperthin white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a floral hop. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and grapefruit flavor. Very good American strong ale from Alesmith.

From the 12/2011 3R6P tasting. This is the first beer from this brewery that has disappointed me. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky caramel-brown color with a trace tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was dryish and dusty with vague mixed spice and a touch of cookie dough. The flavor was tart nut and lemon with a sour caramel presence and faint tobacco. The finish was long and dry with notes of nut, lemon and caramel lingering. Medium body. Eh.
