Pour is a dark red with a large white head. Aroma is a dank oily hop with some sweet caramel malt. Flavor is more of the sweet caramel malt with a nice hop and something like a ripe red grape at the end. This was a decent beer with heavy malt and a decent hop. My bottle said 8.5% abv.

Pours a clear reddish-amber, with medium sized head. Strong malt and hop aromas. Flavor is an almost equal mix of hop and malt, some grassiness complemented by quite a bit of malty sweetness, making for one very satisfying brew overall.

From bomber to pint glass. Rich caramel and subdued floral hop aroma. Beautiful clear amber with slight tan head that lingers throughout and leaves full webbing down the sides. Taste is massive malt with rich bread and slight deep fruit flavors. A little one dimensional. Alcohol warming is present.

On tap. Pours a deep dark mahogany with light but retentive head. Aromas of orange rinds, resin, toffee, and pine. Flavors of brown sugar, resin, malt extract, dark raisins, and piney hops. Light bitter finish. A little metallic but still great. Listed as an Imperial Red on the menu. Strong Ale or Barley Wine - no matter.

0.65l bottle. Oh, I have been looking forward to this! Ever since I tried the Summer version I've been trying to get a hold on this one, and all of a sudden it showed up, completely surprising at my local Vinmonopol. In the glass this is a crystal clear lovely deep ruby amber colored one with a medium sized really lingering dark khaki top that's leaving some serious lacings down the glass. Not much to hold back on the looks really. Love the aroma. Super sticky, fruit, sweet and malty. There's nuts and figs, those sweet red small plums, lost or sweet raisins and some red fruits. So much aroma and it's just getting stronger and more powerful after a while in the glass. Lovely. Not much to say on the taste either. It has a thick oily feeling in the mouth while the carbonation is just above average and a little prickling. Really malty big flavors here. Lots of red sweet fruits with strong nutty tones like the way. No alcohol noted at all her, just some faint spicy tones dancing in the back. Ends really peppery with a nice hoppy stingy burp. A lovely sipper that I want to stock up on. Nice! 06.01.2014
