Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark black color with a thin tan semi-foamy head. Not much lace.
The aroma had some roast, lemon tang, light vinegar, cocoa powder, some saltiness and ended with a little bit of earthiness.
The flavor was sour with a sturdy roastiness backing. Subtle cocoa sweet with the acidic vinegar. Slight grapefruit. Seemed to follow into the aftertaste with a touch of ash. Finished dry with the ash and some acidity.
The feel was between light and medium bodied, some sessionability about it. Seemed like the acidity wanted to get in the way, but what followed through was the sweet smoothness from that cocoa portion allowing it to pull down the ash and roast.
Overall, a little bit of a palate wrecker, this one was pretty enjoyable. I’m guessing this is their version of the infamous \"Polish gose.\"

Draft at Barcade JC, 7/26/15
Really interesting dark Gose. Fairly tart and salty on the nose and taste. Roasted aroma is almost completely gone in the flavor. Dark brown in color, small head, no lace. Gets fairly sour in the latter parts of the beer. Very interesting stuff.

Tap at Bierkraft, Brooklyn. Opaque brown color, small steady brown head. Aroma has coffee and sourness. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Tart citric flavor with toasted porter notes. Citric and salty finish. Not your everyday session brew.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a creamy head. Aroma is minerals, sour malts, some chocolate, and some roast. Taste is pretty much a sour stout (apparently they combined a gose and an oyster stout together to create this beer). Minerally aftertaste. Pretty interesting. I kind of like this style.
