Bea is a nicely balanced black IPA. The subtle coffee flavors are taken over by the fruity hop flavors of passion fruit and citrus. Due to the use of rye, the finish is spicy with a refined bitter.

On tap at De Kaapse, pours black with a small photo brown head. Aroma brings out earthy rye, toasted malt, and some piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of earthy hops, piney, spicy rye, and medium roasted malt. Earthy, roasty and hoppy, all in good balance. Excellent.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Dark rye bread and roast in the aroma. Roast, rye bread, a hint of smoke and red fruit in the sweet flavor. Loads of flavor, loads of hops. Good beer.
