Again, the basic old and young lambic are matured in oak casks. But here we add to one year-old lambic about 400 grams of real cherries per litre. This creates a second fermentation in the casks. Oude Kriek Boon then undergoes a further fermentation in the bottle and has an alcohol volume of 6.5%. After several months, the flavour has matured to the desired taste.
Oude Kriek Boon is a test of your patience. It should lie about 2 years in the bottle. At first, it tastes of fruit, especially sour cherries. Oude Kriek Boon eventually evolves into a deep taste reminiscent of Port or Madeira wine. This is kriek at its best.

Flaske 375ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Drukket hjemme 12 Nov 16. Champagnekork. Åpner med et smell. Dyprød. Høyt ripsfarget skum. Aroma av kirsebærsteiner. Mye kullsyre. Smaken lett kirsebær. Kjedelig.

Clear red w/no head retention. Sweet & sour cherries, berries, grapes, dry woody notes, rusty metallic. Medium sweet & sour, light nutty bitter. Medium body, soft carb. Rich fruity aroma & feel. Rusty metallic, nutty/woody bittersweet &fruity tart finish.

Bottle at home. Clear red with no head retention. Sweet and sour cherries, berries, grapes, dry woody notes, rusty metallic notes. Medium sweet and sour, light nutty bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Rich fruity aroma and feel. Rusty metallic, nutty/woody bittersweet and fruity tart finish.

F: big, pink, good retention. C: dark red, red against the light, hazy, opaque. A: cherries, woody, horse blanket, barnyard, brett, red berries, sour vinegar, complex. T: cherries, sour cherries, very dry on the palate, tarty, woody, basement, fruity sour vinegar, great beer worth to try for this style, vintage 2013, BB: 07/05/2035, 37,5cl bottle from Prik&Tik/Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.

(2014-es évjárat) Közepes, rózsaszín, szellős, nem túl hosszú hab, sötét bordó szín. Illata vadélesztős, meggyes. Vad savanyúval indít (naná, 40% meggy!), majd fokozatosan előbukkan a lambic animális, vadélesztős ízvilága, ami egyébként nem túl markáns. Lecsengése közepesen hosszú, és érdekes módon inkább a lambic viszi a prímet, a meggy csak fanyarságot ad. Közepesen testes, erősen szénsavas, keserűje csak meggytől származik. Kicsit sok a savanyú, de egyébkén nagyon finom.

375ml corked bottle, 2014 á l’Ancienne version, bought at Vinmonopolet Honningsvåg. A good shot followed by smoke when opened. Noisy pink coloured head to a deep, dark red coloured body. Dry aroma of cherry and raspberry peels. Smooth, tart and sweet taste of cherry, raspberry and wood added by a backdrop of yeast. Lingering ending, tart and sweet. Fine bodied. Quite enjoying (Hotel room, Honningsvåg 17.09.2016).

Dunkel rötliches pinkes Bier mit einer ordentlichen pinken schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Kirschen, kirschkerne, Joghurt. Geschmack süß nach Kirschen, kirschkerne, kirschjoghurt, lecker.

Samled at Beertemple. Dark ruby pour, clear, with a fine pinkish head. Smells like macerated cherries and lambic funk. The taste is light sour and sweet, with strong cherry notes. Light carbnation, light body and a sweet and sour fruity aftertaste.
