Our spring farmhouse style ale was created with Chef Charlie Menard of the Round Barn Inn. Brewed with Pilsner, Munich, and Wheat malts, we added 40lbs of fresh Rhubarb and a hearty dose of fresh Hartshorn Farm Basil, then fermented it with a French Saison yeast for a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours gold white head. Nose/taste of basil, light rhubarb, lemongrass, saison yeast, peppercorn, light toasty bread - medium body.

Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Small draft pour, solid white head, gorgeous gold color. Aroma is very herbal. basil comes through very strong and a light tartness. peppery as well. Taste is nice. saison yeast and wheat certainly contributing to a clean mouthfeel. Rhubarb adds a subtle tartness basil is weak but present.
