Aromas of clove, cinnamon, and ripe dark fruit, leading into an elegant symphony of rich warming flavors of spicy tones, roasted caramel malts, citrusy orange, dates, and fig. The finish is smooth and dry, with a hint of spiciness, encompassing an overall holiday presence.

a: beautiful crisp & clear amber body with a bright ruby highlight | thick, moderately fast-dying light tan head
a: alcohol | pure spontaneous fermentation | deep pitted fruits
f: tart cherries | soft brown sugar | musty basement
t: complex yeasts | rich malts | floral & complex end
o: interesting throughout | great range of flavours | rich basement-y and sweet-ish flavours - great to sample, especially with age and from THIS store!

Not sure why marked out of production this seems fresh enough. Chestnut pour frothy head. Nose is Christmas spice and dark fruits. Tastes of dates, figs, plum, cardomon, cinnamon, slightly sour. Some wood and chewy finish. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to Beerman6686. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of fig, cinnamon, orange peel, clove, ginger and caramel - spicy clove and ginger are more upfront. Medium body.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark brown color with faint red highlights and a small soapy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart, tangy and a bit spicy. The flavor was sour malts, dry spices, cinnamon, anise, clove, fig, red meat and red wine. Long finish. Medium body but a bit undercarbonated. Interesting.

On tap at the bocktown, nice place. First let me say this is no regular spice herbal beer, this is an ass kicker @ 10%. Probably should be in the american strong ale cat. Big dark pour. witrh little head. Surprizingly has a tart aroma about it but the taste lets you down a little. does have a detectable tart background but al the way this is mouth and throat warming volatile stuff, do not lite a match. Yes, difficult at times, that is until it makes yoru senses go numb. I think I’m gettin dizzy, wew. Sweet in its own way and this almost, but not quite, makes it cloying. Quite strong. Could be more civilized but certainly better than most wanna be barly wines, yes, thats the category, barely wine and I bet it would taste just like harvest after a few years.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark red color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big spice notes... nutmeg and clove primarily... with dark fruits and citrus. The taste is big spice notes, caramel, dark fruits, citrus. Medium bodied, slightly over-spiced.
