Super hazy golden coloured body with a copper glow and a thick, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of sour grapes, brett, funk, yeast, earth and a little bit of cherries - nice all around. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and dry herbal flavour at first with a little sweetness from lactose, some cherry flavours that tinker around the edges and then finishing with a lot of brett and funk that dominate the flavour and leave it very dry. Aftertaste is nice and shows some complexity with the brett that is front and centre and the cherry flavours which show just a tiny bit, along with some grass, oak and a little hay. Overall, a nice and complex beer with some very subdued cherry and sweet flavours, but this is mainly about the wild yeast and the brett, and it still turned out good and worth the space in my suitcase! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from West LakeView Liqours in Chicago, Illinois on 14-November-2015 for US$9,95 (Batch #236 on label) sampled at home in Washington just three hours before returning back to Chicago on 25-May-2016.
