2015 bomber bought at Costco. Opens and pours a solid black beer body, with a thick brown head. The smell has deep chocolate with just a slight trace of roast. After three years, the beer is nice and fizzy, a bit on the soda pop side, but that can be enjoyable. The malt is nice and roasty, not astringent, but with malt, semi-sweet chocolate, and another hint of coffee. It's definitely got sugar left to it, kept in check by hop bitterness. And since the hop bill is not talked up on the label, I'm saying they're only there to balance the malt, and after three years, it remains properly in the background. The total result is a solid warming stout, that stays consistent through an entire bomber bottle. If you got one when it came out, it's definitely ready.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is roast, chocolate, char, wood. Thick mouth, similar flavors to finish, smoke finish, very nice.

Bottle. Pours oily black tan head. Nose/taste of burnt molasses, dark chocolate, baked brownie, pine and roast - touch of mineral in finish - medium body. Chewy mouthfeel.

Purchased at Binny’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home during a blizzard while watching the national anthem of the Super Bowl where it sounds like people are booing parts of the song because they probably put money on how long it would take to be sung. Appearance is a thick pitch black, oil consistency, light off white head. Aroma is heavy on the molasses and dark chocolate, but mostly molasses, with roasted coffee and light mint, light burn. Taste goes down with an odd burning molasses finish, rather abrasive, thick, great for the weather. It’s good and different, enjoyable.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours back with a grayish dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts and some dark grains as well as at touch of bitterness and green pepper. Flavor combines roasted malts and green pepper with a dark grain backbone.
