33cl bottle. I think Maakun sent me this bottle in a Euro Swap. Thanks! Pours deep amber with a thick white head, dense lasting, gusher. Spicy, Belgian yeasty aroma. Perfumy notes. Way too fizzy and carbonated. Mouthdrying. Earthy citrusy flavors, some floral notes.

Took a bottle from the local store because it made me think of Motörhead (R.I.P. Lemmy!). It pours hazy golden with a decent white head. The aroma has malts, bread, grass, citrus and barnyard. It tastes light sour, heavy sweet, but is very astringent and dry in the finish. Too sparkling as well. OK. --- Beer aliased from original tick of SchuppenAas Hergist Met Brettanomyces on 05 May 2023 at 12:02 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. A: hazy amber, small, off-white head.
A: apple peel, fig, leather, old caramel.
T: sourish funky apple, pear, fig.
F: harsh, bit metallic bitterness of citrus peel, herbal hops and dried fruit.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Brett feels a bit forced into it, expected more.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark copper with full head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, toasted malts, and dried fruit/trail mix. Flavors of bitter resiny hops, bread crusts, and sharp dried fruit. Bitter acidic finish. OK

Bottle split at the Tropical Croydonia tasting on melt day, thanks to Fergus, 01/07/15. Clear golden with a decent beige covering. Nose is yeast, lemon rind, straw, pissy wood, apple core. Taste comprises yeast esters, straw, lemon rind, faint bread. Medium bodied, carbonation a touch prickly, semi drying close. So so.

Bottle thanks to Fergus at the Tropical Croydonia tasting. It pours lightly hazy golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, grainy, paper, sugary and a touch of sherbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, sherbet, lemon peel, cracker, doughy, pepper spice and alcohol boost with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Tastes alright. A fairly basic Belge.

Bottle shared in East Croydonia - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear gold with a big, frothy white head. The nose holds doughy wheat, yeast, melon, corn, lemon. Medium sweet flavor with notes of booze, dough, grass, hay, yeast. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Bitter finish, grassy, a little grainy, with prominent yeast, cereal, hay. Not excellent.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy amber. Bubbly, lively, off white head. Bready. Bretty. Lime. Lemon. Taste is crisp dry. Palate is sharp, and overly fizzy. Hops turn up on the finish. Quite like fresh Orval. Be interesting to know if it ages as well.
