This double IPA is brewed with a hefty amount of grains and hops for a muscular all-malt body followed by resinous notes of pine. An extended stay inside bold Bourbon barrels contributes balancing undertones of vanilla and oak.

On tap at Funky Buddha, pours an opaque dark orange with a small beige head. Aroma is rather abrasive, with intense resinous hops clashing with the barrel notes. Flavour is thankfully more cohesive with rich resinous hops, caramel malts, and bourbon barrels. Not exactly a harmonious beer, but for BA IIPAs, it works better than most. Fun experiment.
