Fles gedeelt met KoenvD, het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed. Het heeft weinig tot geen schuim. De geur is dropachtig en gebrande mout. Het heeft een gebrande koffie achtige smaak met zoethout en drop tonen.

Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso liquirizia, orzo tostato e caffè. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma color ocra resiste poco. Le bollicine sono grandi. Il liquido è di colore come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il finale è semplice. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta note di miele, caffè, liquirizia, nocciola e frutta secca.

500ml bottle into pint glass. 4.5%. At ambient temperature, a cold Sydney winter night. Pours a dark brown/red with a tan coloured crown of foam on top. Nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, cherries, and preserved raspberries. Top notch. Slight effervescence on the tongue. Light body. Taste and finish are mostly lingering instant coffee, sadly not replicating the exquisite nose. Nevertheless a quality stout.

Bottle. Black with a small white/beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, red berries, dark chocolate, cocoa and earthy/floral hops. Taste follows aroma. Long lasting dry aftertaste of dark chocolate. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Very balanced. A lovely Stout, easy drinking but rewarding.
