Matured in 5 different barrels that used to house bourbon, whiskey, syrah wine & sherry. It is deep brown in color with a touch of carbonation. Reminiscent of dark fruits, raisins & plums, it has a balance between acidity & maltoness that is enhanced by a slight smokiness on the nose.

Bottle from the brewery m it pours deep red - brown with a small beige head. The nose is fresh, ripe fruits, jammy, berry, cranberry, blueberry, jam, earth, green apple and funk. The taste is crisp, tart, very jammy, blueberry, raspberry pip, sour green apple, white grape, cider vinegar and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit acidic, but enjoyable enough.

Sampled at the brewery, 9/19/15. Reddish-brown in color with a tan head. Aroma is sour with some raisin/dark fruit. Acidic feel. Nice one.
