Red Rye IPA. Some beers are hop centric, others malt centric, our Red Rye IPA is a tightrope walk between the two, big chewy malt flavours balanced against tropical hops and bitterness, complex with a hint of pepper from the Rye malt.

Bottiglia.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Clear deep amber body with a beige head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, caramel and tea. Flavour of berries, caramel, biscuit and a peppery finish. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Toasty and slightly spicy.

At a tasting, small stable bubbly head, very dark red color, spicy grainy aroma with a hint of onion, sweetish malty caramel flavor with a spicy edge and a smokey whiff. Nice.

Frothy beige head stayed on a hazy reddish brown, lightly effervescent body. Dark fruit, jam, sweet pine & outdoor aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with a slight tingle on the back. Feels quite chewy. Bitter sweet dark fruits, resin, pithy, red berries & sweeter finish of jam. Good one.

From backlog. 330ml can from Ales by Mail. BBE 02 NOV 17. Pours dark reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of caramely malts, earthiness, rye bread and berries. Taste is earthy, bready and slightly grainy with some hints of rye, berries and earthiness. Finish is earthy and slightly sourish with some rye, berries and bready maltiness. A bit strange.

Can 330ml (AbM, BB 11/2017)
Clear deep amber colour, steady small beige head and lace. Aroma is fruity hoppy - resiny hop oily, caramelly, feels fresh. Medium-bodied. Caramalt, resin, pine, soft palate. Not much of rye here. Good fresh American style amber ale from UK.

330ml can, described as a Red Rye IPA. Pours a very deep amber colour, thick beige head. Aroma: malty, spicy rye, fruity hops. Taste: strong rye and toffee, caramel, some citrus fruity hops after, earthy, bitter finish. Medium body, average carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Decent beer just not overly keen on the rye.
