Red Rye IPA. Some beers are hop centric, others malt centric, our Red Rye IPA is a tightrope walk between the two, big chewy malt flavours balanced against tropical hops and bitterness, complex with a hint of pepper from the Rye malt.

Keg at the Berkhamsted beer shop in Berkhamsted, Herts. A dark brown/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, caramel, treacle. Almost like a treacle sponge beer if that is possible. It is OK but nowt special.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark amber color, average sized white head. Aroma is malts and unfortunately a lot of butter and diacetyl. Taste malts, some toffee and caramel, heavy buttery again Oh no this is bad, very bad.

Clear deep amber brown colour, large frothy light tan head, good retention and lacing. Interesting mixed aroma of fruit and toasted malt, grapefruit, caramel, toffee, citrus. Smooth flavour, light to medium sweet and bitter, toffee. Oily to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Mild bittersweet finish, light herbal notes, civilized American Amber, quite nice.
