Welcome to the world of Cocoa Psycho, a liquid dimension where pure indulgence reigns.
This Imperial Stout borrows from the voluptuary decadence of 18th Century Russia, with its extravagantly smooth blend of crushed coffee beans, cacao nibs and dark malts.
Dig past the infusions of vanilla pods and toasted oak chips and eventually you’ll come face to face with the madness required to make this beer: a kind of depraved logic that would make Rasputin himself proud.
To fully unleash the aromas and bittersweet luxury of this stout we recommend drinking it from a stemmed beer glass before taking a sledgehammer to a Faberge egg.
Malts: Extra Pale, Wheat, Cara, Smoked, Black and Roasted Barley
Hops: Cascade, Fuggles and Goldings

Bottle from Pivný raj What great evening I'm having. One black beauty followed by another where this sticks to the game. Both in taste and aroma raisins play the prime for me while the coffee and dark chocolate doesn't want to stay behind. Lovely.

Dense deep nose. The beer starts rich and roasted. Very dry, cocoa there, roasted espresso, very dry. Like a cold-brew coffee with lots of deep roasted malts and a nice bitterness on top. Very dry, great!

Bottle. Opaque jet black colour. Lively brown head. The darkest foam I've ever experienced. Aroma: extremely roasty, big coffee, some chocolate. Small fruity hints. Medium to full body. Huge roasted malt dominates on taste accompanied by coffee, dark chocolate, vinous and fruity notes. Rather dry. The ending is fairly bitter. Lush hopping. Well it's no doubt very good. Still, I would actually prefer a more estery one.

On draught at Bob's Bar during the "BrewDog Night!" event on 08/01/2017. Brown-black color with a medium dark beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, vanilla, roast coffee and a touch of oak. The finish is roasty with a vanilla mocha aftertaste. Solid beer overall.

330ml bottle as my 100th Scottish rating. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma: dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, liquorice, dark fruits. Taste: dark chocolate, coffee, rich dark fruits, liquorice, bitter roasted malts, sugar, alcohol, slight oaky hint. Medium-full bodied, fine carbonation, creamy smooth texture, quite sticky. Very nice!

Brewdog Tallinn, tap on nitro. Dark brown pour, relatively dark brown foam there as well, aggressive lacings. Bitter chocolate cocoa nose, plentiful and rich. Taste has more of it, dry cocoa powder bitterness coming out quite nicely. Not getting nitro creaminess for some reason. Long imperial black bitter chocolate linger in the finish. Overall feels much lighter and easier to drink than it should be, good balance.
