Old Peculier is a beautiful, yet very simple beer, brewed using a very generous blend of finest pale, crystal and roasted barley with two bitter hops combined with the majestic and noble ‘Fuggle’ hop to produce a beer of awesome full-bodied flavour with subtle cherry and rich fruit overtones.

500ml bottle. First "Old Ale" for me. Clear and very dark brown colour, frothy tan head. Dark fruity, malty aroma and flavour, caramel, some sweetness too, very lightly roasted. Quite a smooth finish. Very nice beer.

500ml bottle from my local Asda. Pours deep ruby brown with good frothy tan head. Aroma is toffee fudge. Taste is smooth toffee and cocoa, fruitiness comes on the finish with faint banana. Tangy bittersweet finish. Good classic Old Ale.

Dark red brown color with a small tan head. Dried fruit and caramel in the aroma. Medium + body and an ok carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. A bit oily texture. Fruity, toffee and malty flavor. Ok evening sipper with some cheese.

Pours brown, red reflexes in glass. Short beige head. Malty aroma, not very rich. Some chocolate but not much. Light bitterness, quite sweet. Some fruits in flavor but in the very far back. Light to medium body. Very average beer.

Das Bier hat eine klare dunkel rötlichbraune Farbe und eine schöne beige Schaumkrone. Geruch karamellig, leicht schokoladig, dunkle Früchte, trocken. Geschmack schokoladig, Karamell, trocken, schwach hopfig, lecker!

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing mahogany colour with average thick, creamy, fairlly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Condensed fruity aroma, notes of red berries, cherries, jelly, cautious hints of milk chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet fruity, notes of red berries, cherries, a touch of banana; slightly vinous finish with a mildly dry, woody touch. Super soft palate, light, hovering body. Very gentle and highly sophisticated.

BOTTLE 50 CL from Grumbo. Dark ruby-pinkish, beige creamy head. Rich fruity aroma with notes of dried cherry and cherry liqueur, dark caramel, malts, and herbal hops. The taste is similar, with a smooth velvety mouthfeel. Great brew.
