Pine needle, sumac, moss, grapefruit, soil nose. Black, thin tan head, nice lace. Charcoal, pine needle. Medium body, easy carbonation. Well done.
Black pour tan foam. Pretty tan lace around rim. Wheat hops with possible barley. Easy carbonation. Slight vanilla.

Draft at the brewery. Brown pour, orange hue. Beige head and streaky lace. Roasted malt, grapefruit rind, and a little earth. Drinks fairly dry, bitter. Clean. Nice example of the style.

On tap at Spacebar pours a muddy, murky brown/black with some sticky, tan head. Nose has toast, grist, molasses, some chocolate, some pepper, pencil lead. Flavor has some dried fruits, molasses, chocolate, toast, grist, dried hop, pine, soap. Finishes bitter, dry, toasty.

Full pint pour at the brewery. Poured a pretty dark black color with a small off-white head. This one had a nice resin hop aroma. Flavor is more malty, bakers chocolate, earthy, bitter hops. Pleasant.

Keg at the brewery, 4/22/16. Clear dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, wheat, citrus. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, pine, resin. Medium bodied, smooth, lingering bitterness.
