Poured from a 330 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly chocolate forward, but with quite a strong Brett note. Lots of fruit character with plum, prune, pineapple and cherry. Light roast, bourbon and oak notes. Brett seems most prevalent though. Pours a very dark brown, but not quite black with a large, thick, cola head that slowly recedes and falls into itself where it lingers for a long time. High amount of lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a bit of malt, but the Brett isn’t great. Lots of roast with moderate chocolate. Some light caramel and toffee notes. Moderate bitterness with light oak notes. Lots of fruit notes with cherry, pineapple, raisin, plum and prune. Medium acidity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Medium low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, really not a good beer. The Brett doesn’t work with the base beer. The acidity and the fruit notes accentuate the astringency and bitterness.
