Bottle at clockwork tasting. nose is tequila and some caramel and grains. tastes of grains, caramel, hint of honey and fruit, and cheap jose cuervo tequila heat throughout. harsh and not that pleasant

Super clear light amber body with a ruby glow and a super deep copper tint - very nice, all with a smallish, two centimetre tall tan head that leaves a rather ugly lace. Aroma of alcohol, malt, pit fruits, raisins and some oak as well of course. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong alcohol bite at first with a deep oak and vanilla flavour showing some depth and a smooth sweetness along with a little malt at the finish. Aftertaste shows mostly an oaky and vanilla flavour coupled with the boozey tastes and a thin malt note, some light sweetness and little else - fairly bland, actually and very thin. Overall, a surprisingly bland and weak beer with a very deep flavour from the barrels, but that’s about it. Neat to try, but not worthwhile unless you really love Jose Cuervo and/or just want everything from Flying Fish. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 12-July-2015 for US$8,00 sampled at home in Washington on 06-September-2015.
