Draught at the brewery, 6/11/16.
Bright honey-nectarine colored body shows a minimal amount of chill haze, with a white head that is moderate-sized and shows good retention.
Pepper, lemon, strong minerality and snappy hay and biscuit-like malts provide great balance, lots of dryness and an authentic, rustic feel to the beer.
Strong carbonation, but very tight, with a softly malty texture, that has interludes of light graininess. Dry, fair amount of citrus and mild tartness with kumquat, plentiful minerality, hay and light honey. Deliciously hoppy (but not just boring old citrus hops) traditional-ish saison with tons of mineral and hay character. Had a sample and then quickly got a full pour. No flaw or alcohol. Very unique.
