Tipopils is an “archetypal” beer: it embodies and corresponds to the idea of light beer settled in our DNA over many centuries. Produced by infusion with Caramunich- and Pilsner-type barley malts, brewed with a popular German bottom-fermenting yeast. German bittering and aromatic hops used both in warm and cold hopping (dry hopping). It is coarsely filtered to remove some of the yeast.

Bottle, 3 months after bottling. Pours yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is zesty hops, with grass, and notes of citrus peel, as well as light malts with bread and honey. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is bitter zesty hops, with notes of pine, grass, hay and minerals, as well as light malts with bread and honey. Lingering bitter finish. No obvious faults on this, and quite possibly the perfect pilsner. Quaffable, refreshing and lovely!

Keg at the brewery restaurant. A clear bright golden coloured pour with a lasting light white froth. Aroma is fresh grains, grassy spicy hop with a little citrus. Flavour is composed of pale grains, bread, delicate hop, hints of grass and straw. Very well balanced and sessionable. Palate is light and refreshing, with soft moderate carbonation. Very nice.

330ml bottle from Boxbeers. Bottled 30.06.16. Pours golden orange with a small head. Aroma of sweetish floral notes, grass, hay, grainy malts and butter. Taste is crisp, grainy and floral with some grass, hay and citrus. Finish is crisp and earthy with some floral and grassy notes. Okay pils with an interesting hop profile.

Draught at Il Locale, Cph. Sligtly hazy, golden colour with a big, fluffy white head. Sweet aroma with grasses, pale malts, fruitiness. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with hay, soft, butter like notes. Excellent Pilsner. Highly recommended.

Keg @ Fighting Cock, Cliviger. Golden-yellow with a thin head. Has a small floral-fruitiness, and it’s crisp. Lemon is dominant in both aroma and taste.
