12 ounce bottle into snifter, 2017 vintage. Slight gusher opener. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky tan head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge brownie, marshmallow, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, chipotle peppers, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Touch of booze in the aroma as it warmed, but very minimal. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, spices, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge brownie, marshmallow, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, chipotle peppers, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild herbal/roast/char bitterness and pepper/bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge brownie, marshmallow, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, chipotle peppers, bourbon, toasted oak, dark/brown bread, light molasses/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, spices, and bourbon barrel flavors; with an amazing roasted bitter/sweet and pepper/bourbon/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warmth/barrel booze for 11%. Lightly increasing pepper heat through the glass. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged spiced imperial stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, spices, and bourbon barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV with the mildly bitter/spicy finish. The over carbonation was only a slight detriment to mouthfeel, would have definitely bumped the score up if it were lower. Still felt really silky. This tastes exactly like BBA fudge/spice cookies. Amazing balance of rich malts and spices, with perfect barrel integration. Not overwhelming on any aspect. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing dessert style stout as expected. Definitely want to try a bottle with lower carbonation in the future.

A bottle shared by Willrunforbeer. Mild head in a snifter. Aroma is mild ginger snap, light bourbon, cinnamon sticks.

Ok, a Horchata stout with ginger. I like the mouthfeel, good and full with a creamy texture. Yet entirely to much spice to be enjoyable. The ginger is snapping! Ouch.

12oz Bottle from WillRun. brown to black, blood red edges, small tight bubbly brown red head. All I smells is cinnamon. OMG this is spicy. it hurts from start to finish. why do you guys add pepper to beers? stop it! Cocoa and a little ginger. pepper just overloads you.
