Grab a glass, pop the top, and prepare to get pitted in waves of flavor! This funkadelic oud bruin was inoculated with wild yeast before getting caught inside some Cabernet barrels filled with tart cherries. The result is a pleasantly complex brew that will cruise over your taste buds like the perfect swell. Waapahhh!

Draught at CBC Boston, 9/23/17.
Dark auburn-dark amber, light haze with a dark beige head that recedes immediately to ring.
Lightly meaty cherry notes mix with light caramel and bread from the malt, as cranberry-raspberry-grape-like notes announce the wine presence. Light lactic acidity and Brett woven in to it, with strong fruit acids lingering and a growing cherry pulp/juice presence. No alcohol.
In the mouth it's lightly sweet, moderately tart and very acidic from the fruit and wine, on the finish. Somewhat given to the specialty malts and thus somewhat of a hard, thin texture, with fairly engaging carbonation. The wild yeast doesn't really break through much and it comes off as a rather starkly tart mix of cherry, wine barrel and specialty malt, with some acetic-like character adding sourness, as well. Though, there's nothing particularly egregiously wrong with it, overall.
